Orlando Sentinel – Harris Rosen wins James B. Green Award

The Orlando Economic Partnership honored hotelier Harris Rosen on Tuesday night for his contributions to Central Florida public education from preschool to college.

Rosen received the group’s annual James B. Greene Award.

“His support of the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management, his vision in creating the Tangelo Park Foundation and the Parramore Foundation, and more recently, the Adam Michael Rosen Foundation, in memory of his son, is all about lifting the lives of others and ultimately making this a greater community, a better world,” said Alex Martins, CEO of the Orlando Magic, and the 2015 James B. Greene Award recipient.

The OEP also awarded FINFROCK its Schwartz Innovation Award, for its “breakthroughs in technology solutions that increase efficiency, productivity and profitability of precast/prestressed concrete manufacturers.”

The partnership is a non-profit, public/private organization in seven counties in the Central Florida area that works to help provide jobs, drive economic growth and a sustainable quality of life. Its annual event honors local leaders and outlines the partnership’s vision for the future.

Nearly 800 people attended the event held at Amway Center. [Source]
