Jack’s Place at Rosen Plaza Puts a Bit of Magic in Dining This Fall

ORLANDO (Aug. 2, 2018) – Jack’s Place, named a USA Today Top Ten International Drive Restaurant, is putting a little magic in dining by offering a three-course meal for only $35 during Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month, sponsored by American Express. The restaurants’ prix fixe menus are available from August 24 to September 30.

Located at the Rosen Plaza Hotel, conveniently situated in the middle of the action on Orlando’s International Drive, this Magical Dining menu was created by the hotel’s Executive Chef Michael McMullen and his creative culinary team to feature some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes. Guests can choose to start with appetizers of Meatballs Stuffed with Mozzarella Cheese in an Oregano Roasted Pepper Sauce; Lobster Bisque soup; or a delightful Caesar Salad.

Entrees are next with a choice of Chicken Saltimbocca, a sage pan seared chicken breast wrap with prosciutto, capellini pasta and lemon-thyme au jus; Filet Mignon, grilled filet of beef with garlic Boursin Polenta, and Jack’s vegetable and truffle mushroom demi; or Pan Seared Sea Bass with roasted sweet potato mash, saute Concord Grape and Grilled Endive.

Finish off a delicious meal with a choice of extravagant desserts: Brulee Cheesecake and Berries; Chocolate Wedge, a smooth and rich chocolate mousse finished with chocolate ganache over chocolate Genoese; or Jack’s Citrus Pie.

Tax and gratuity are not included with the Magical Dining menu price.

Jack’s Place guests are treated not only to a sumptuous menu, but to a unique themed ambiance. Adorning the restaurant’s walls are hundreds of autographed celebrity caricatures, penned by owner Harris Rosen’s father Jack (and the restaurant’s namesake) during his career as a safety engineer during the mid 1900s at the Waldorf Astoria New York. As a hobby, Jack drew whimsical depictions of the hotel’s visiting celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Babe Ruth and John F. Kennedy, Jr., which they then gladly autographed. Jack’s art was featured at the time in a New York Times article, among other media outlets, and now is available for Jack’s Place guests to enjoy.

The popular travel destination’s Magical Dining Month event is a favorite of travelers and area residents alike. Participating restaurants throughout the destination offer amazing dining experiences and one dollar from each meal will benefit a local charity. Reservations are recommended and can be made by visiting www.visitorlando.com/magicaldining/restaurants or calling 407-996-1787.
