ORLANDO (July 21, 2020) – After closing this past spring due to the current pandemic, the 800-room Rosen Plaza in Orlando will reopen on Sunday, July 26, prepared to greet leisure visitors and group attendees with a new program to help ensure an unparalleled level of safety and security in response to COVID-19.
Rosen’s Total Commitment is a guest and associate safety and well-being initiative implementing the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Jointly developed with the healthcare professionals at the Rosen Medical Center, the hotel’s general manager and department heads and the corporate risk management team, the program has transformed the consistently spotless property at every level with new measures, vetted and tested for the utmost effectiveness in line with the CDC requirements for COVID-19.
“The entire staff is excited to reconnect with our valued guests, whom we view as an extension of our Rosen Plaza family,” said Derek Baum, a 33-year Rosen Hotels’ associate, serving in recent years as general manager of Rosen Plaza. “Amenities such as our award-winning Jack’s Place and tropical outdoor swimming pool, where guests can relax and enjoy refreshments from ‘39 Poolside Bar & Grill, are sure to be a hit as we enthusiastically impart our special brand of hospitality and safety to ensure our visitors enjoy a much-needed respite from the worries of the day.”
One of eight Rosen Hotels & Resorts in Orlando, the 800-room Rosen Plaza is centrally located on International Drive, steps across the street from the Pointe Orlando entertainment complex and minutes to Orlando’s world-famous theme parks, attractions, shopping and dining. 60,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including spacious and lush outdoor locales, is ideally connected to the Orange County Convention Center via the Gary Sain Memorial Skybridge. The meeting space is highlighted by 3NINE, the only venue of its kind on International Drive. The 3,000 square-foot entertainment venue delights planners and guests alike with customizable flat screen TVs and built-in state-of-the-art sound systems and staging that keeps guests on their feet.
