His Lane and His Legacy: Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center Honors Harris Rosen in Lane Dedication Ceremony

ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 9, 2026) – Today, Rosen Hotels & Resorts celebrates its second annual Founder’s Day, honoring the life and legacy of Harris Rosen, the company’s late founder, president and chief operating officer, on Sept. 9, his birthday. As part of this year’s celebration, the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center (RAFC) dedicated Lane 2 in Mr. Rosen’s memory, recognizing the lane he faithfully swam each day and the lasting impact he had on the facility and community.

Passionate about swimming and fitness, Mr. Rosen saved the former YMCA Aquatic Center from closure twice, most recently in 2021. Now known as the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center, it was a regular part of Mr. Rosen’s morning routine. He swam at least 1.25 miles in Lane 2 each day. Today, the center is home to Special Olympians, multiple high school and club teams and provides lifesaving training for local organizations.

“Many people knew Harris Rosen as a visionary, a philanthropist and a community champion. Here, he was known as an athlete. Day after day, year after year, he could be found swimming here in Lane 2,” said Frank Santos, Rosen Hotels & Resorts president and CEO and RAFC board president. “Harris dedicated his life to creating opportunities and improving lives. Today’s lane dedication serves as a reminder of those values.”

The RAFC continues Mr. Rosen’s legacy of giving back by offering free swim and water safety classes for the community in partnership with the Step Into Swim and Every Child A Swimmer programs. The programs’ mission is to prevent drowning and save lives through safe, inclusive and transformative experiences for people of all ages and abilities.
